Conviction of Major Powder Cocaine Drug Kingpin

On February 29, 2012, Ceferino Perez, a/k/a “Papo,” one of the principal dealers of powder cocaine in New York City, was sentenced to 20 years-to-life in prison after pleading guilty to Operating As a Major Trafficker, also known as the “Drug Kingpin” statute. Twenty-two members of that major narcotics trafficking organization based in East Harlem, which had been operating for more than two decades, have pleaded guilty.
