Former NYPD Officer Sentenced in Gun Trafficking Case

On November 28, 2012, Nicholas Mina, a former New York City police officer, was sentenced to 15-and-a-half years in prison for stealing police-issued firearms from his colleagues’ lockers in the 9th Precinct Station House and selling them on the underground market. All six defendants charged in that indictment have been convicted, including gun traffickers Chavez and Jason Teneyck.
